Work experience

Tech Lead & Software Engineer
Acid Tango
2024 - Present

I lead a squad of four engineers responsible for two core modules—merchandise labeling and garment-on-hanger packing—used across Inditex's logistics centers worldwide. I am driving the modernization of these legacy services into scalable microservices. I set technical and architectural direction in close partnership with Inditex's logistics technology teams, mentor engineers, and champion DDD, Clean Architecture, SOLID principles, and automated testing.

Project Manager & Senior Backend Engineer
Acid Tango
2022 - 2024

I led product development from concept through delivery, partnering directly with clients to shape product vision and coordinating squads of up to five engineers. Alongside hands-on backend development, I promoted engineering practices that improved code readability, scalability, and ease of change.

Backend Engineer
Acid Tango
2021 - 2022

I built backend services for personalized e-commerce products from the ground up, translating complex business rules into clear domain models and maintainable services. I implemented one-time and recurring payment flows with comprehensive tests, applying DDD and hexagonal architecture.

Full-Stack Developer
Itop Consulting
2021 - 2021

Developed client projects and internal products using NestJS, React, Kafka, PostgreSQL, and GraphQL. Built a payment gateway and a WebSocket-based notification system, and contributed to microfrontend development with Apollo Client, Keycloak, and Ant Design.

Education

Master's degree in teaching
Universidad de La Laguna

Featured Projects

From large-scale logistics modernization to fintech innovation, I have led technical initiatives across diverse domains. Here are a few examples of how I build scalable systems with clean architecture and sound engineering practices.

Inditex
Modernizing global logistics at scale

The challenge:

I lead the modernization of critical logistics systems that support Inditex's global supply chain, moving legacy monoliths toward microservices to improve delivery speed and scalability. I also drive automation initiatives to reduce manual work and operational errors across distribution centers.

My role:

As Tech Lead, I lead a squad of four engineers, contribute to roadmap planning, and make architectural decisions for systems that support millions of shipments. I mentor engineers, manage stakeholder expectations, and build trust through clear communication—balancing technical excellence with people development.

Acciona
Streamlining training needs analysis for HR teams

The challenge:

Built a corporate learning platform from the ground up to help HR teams assess training needs and create employee development plans. The platform uses AI to recommend courses based on content analysis.

My role:

Implemented dynamic course and resource visibility based on user profiles, integrated Workday data for more than 60,000 employees, and designed an intuitive workflow that streamlined training-needs analysis for HR teams.

We Feed Raw
Tailor-made solutions for specific challenges

The challenge:

Built an e-commerce platform from scratch for personalized pet meal plans. A proprietary algorithm tailored nutrition recommendations to each pet's breed and needs, while the platform supported both one-time and subscription purchases.

My role:

Applied Domain-Driven Design with clearly defined bounded contexts, refined aggregates and value objects, and established reliable communication patterns between contexts. Built one-time and subscription payment flows with comprehensive tests, following the testing pyramid to support continuous delivery.

Xepelin
Improving code quality and speed

The challenge:

Worked with a fast-growing fintech startup through multiple Series B funding rounds, building shared tools and libraries to help engineering teams work faster and more effectively.

My role:

Led the shift from MVC to Clean Architecture within my squad and helped other teams adopt it. Reduced unnecessary mocks for third-party libraries, promoted dependency inversion and repository patterns, and strengthened testing practices across the company.
